Katherine Sceia, MSN, RN, CPAN, CAPA, serves as the Clinical Practice Leader for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and Short Procedure Unit (SPU) at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH). She began her nursing career in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit, gaining two years of critical care experience before joining TJUH in 2015 as a PACU staff nurse. Over the past five years, she has advanced into her current leadership role, where she oversees clinical practice, staff development, and quality initiatives across both the PACU and SPU.
Katherine earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Wilkes University and has contributed to nursing education as adjunct faculty at the Jefferson School of Nursing, teaching both traditional and accelerated undergraduate students in the clinical setting.
An active member of the American Society of Perianesthesia Nurses (ASPAN), she serves on two committees and remains committed to advancing perioperative nursing practice. Katherine is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree.
