Clinical Practice Leader
Jefferson Health
Sarah Germanovich, MSN, RN, CNOR, TCRN, serves as the Clinical Practice Leader in the Operating Room at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH). She has been a dedicated member of the TJUH community since 2002, beginning her career as a nurse extern.
After graduating from the Temple University School of Nursing, Sarah accepted a staff nurse position on a medical–surgical unit, but her longstanding interest in perioperative nursing soon led her to transition into the Operating Room in 2005. She went on to spend the next decade as an integral member of the Neuro/Spine surgical team.
Sarah earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the Thomas Jefferson School of Nursing and has contributed to nursing education as adjunct faculty at both the Jefferson School of Nursing and Delaware County Community College (DCCC). At Jefferson, she taught as a clinical instructor at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, and at DCCC she served as an instructor for the Periop 101 course.
In addition to her clinical and educational leadership, Sarah is a published author. She has written the neurosurgical procedures chapter in three editions of Alexander’s Care of the Patient in Surgery, a leading text in perioperative nursing.
