Ellie Jun, DNP, RN, CCRN, is a nursing executive recognized for her contributions to perioperative excellence, strengthening professional governance, and fostering high-performance cultures through her Multilayered Mentorship (MLM) Framework. She currently serves as the Director of Nursing for NewYork-Presbyterian, The One, a newly constructed ambulatory surgery center. In this role, she leads efforts in operational readiness, clinical quality, and team development across the perioperative continuum.
With over two decades of experience in critical care, perianesthesia care, and ambulatory surgery, Ellie has consistently achieved transformational outcomes. Her leadership has resulted in a sustained 95% reduction in PACU hold hours, enhanced interprofessional collaboration, and improved high-reliability workflows that boost patient flow, efficiency, and engagement. She is well-known for fostering cultures that prioritize mentorship, shared accountability, and continuous learning.
As the architect of the Multilayered Mentorship Framework, Ellie has developed a scalable model to accelerate leadership development from executive teams to frontline staff. Her research and scholarship include peer-reviewed publications in Nursing Management and Nurse Leader. She is also scheduled to present at AORN and AONL conferences, focusing on themes of culture evolution, mentorship, and perioperative innovation.
Ellie's contributions have garnered recognition from the New York Organization of Nurse Leaders, as well as several organizational awards that honor excellence in leadership and interdisciplinary collaboration.
