Ashley Janel Acosta is an accomplished Operating Room Nurse Manager at LBJ Hospital, where she has dedicated her entire nursing career since entering through the Nurse Residency Program in 2015. With a solid foundation in patient care and surgical services, Ashley brings nearly a decade of clinical and leadership experience to her role.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Houston (2012) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing (2016). Over the years, Ashley has steadily advanced in her career, moving from Coordinator for General and Vascular Services to Charge Nurse, and ultimately into a management role—a progression that reflects her deep commitment to the organization and her passion for perioperative nursing.
Ashley is known for her ability to connect meaningfully with both patients and staff. Her leadership is grounded in empathy, team advocacy, and a clear focus on delivering safe, high-quality surgical care. She is CNOR certified and an active member of AORN, consistently striving for excellence in clinical practice and operational outcomes.
Beyond the hospital, Ashley extends her compassion through global health service, having participated in three mission trips with Faith in Practice. Her dedication to both patient outcomes and team well-being continues to drive her success as a respected leader in the operating room.
