Tracey Kunkel is a Perioperative RN Clinical Education Specialist at Allegheny General Hospital (AGH). After receiving her BSN from Duquesne University, her career began as an active-duty US Navy Nurse, where she served for over 21 years. Her diverse experience encompasses a broad range of specialties, including the nursery/neonatal ICU, mother-baby/post-partum, labor & delivery, medical-surgical units, same-day surgery, and the operating room. Following her retirement from the Navy in 2009, Ms. Kunkel returned to her hometown of Pittsburgh and has since held various operating room positions at St. Margaret's Hospital, St. Clair Hospital, West Penn Hospital, the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, and AGH. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on education at Waynesburg University in 2024.
