Marie San Pedro-Pierce is the Perioperative Safety Coordinator at New York Presbyterian Hospital - West Campuses with over 25 years of experience in the operating room. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the College of New Rochelle and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing at Hunter College in New York. She taught at Hunter College School of Nursing as an Adjunct Faculty Member. She was the Clinical Manager for Perioperative Services and Endoscopy at the Allen Och Spine Hospital for 7 years. Marie is an active member of AORN and has served as a New York State delegate for several years. In addition, she has presented several posters at AORN Congresses. She holds CNOR, CSSM, and CNL certification.
