Stefania is a highly dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse with nearly a decade of perioperative experience, currently serving as the Team Lead for Surgical Services at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. With a strong foundation in clinical excellence, patient safety, and leadership, she brings a calm, solutions-focused approach to even the busiest days in the OR.
Stefania earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Los Angeles, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and holds an Associate of Arts in Natural Sciences from Pasadena City College, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Her educational journey laid the groundwork for her commitment to evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.
She began her surgical nursing career at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where she spent four years refining her clinical skills in the OR and anesthesia services. Since 2020, she's been at Mayo Clinic, where she has grown into a respected weekend team lead—known by colleagues as the “Gatekeeper” for her deep policy knowledge and patient-first mindset.
Stefania is actively involved in professional development and organizational improvement. She’s contributed to multiple leadership subcommittees and wellness initiatives. She is a Mayo Clinic Well-Being Champion, Leader Development Subcommittee Member, and a multi-time recipient of the Above & Beyond Recognition Program for her teamwork, communication, and dedication.
