Dual Role-Charge/Coordinator
NGHS
Lily is a dedicated and adaptable registered nurse whose career reflects a commitment to growth, resilience, and patient-centered care. After graduating from nursing school in 2017, Lily launched her career as a nurse resident in the Emergency Department at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. There, she gained invaluable experience managing diverse and complex patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
When the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped the healthcare landscape, Lily reassessed her long-term goals and recognized a need for a role that aligned more closely with family life while still providing meaningful professional challenge. In 2021, she transitioned into the operating room—a change that quickly became a transformative, career-saving decision. The OR offered opportunities for deeper specialization, technical skill development, and renewed enthusiasm for nursing.
Motivated to grow as a leader, Lily pursued multiple leadership opportunities. Although not immediately successful, her perseverance paid off when she earned a dual position as Charge Nurse and Specialty Coordinator. In these roles, Lily supports daily operations, champions team communication, and contributes to enhancing workflow and surgical care quality.
Today, Lily remains driven by a desire to learn, lead, and elevate those around her. She is committed to fostering a collaborative environment where both patients and peers can thrive.
