Matthew Haley, MSN, RN, is a dedicated perioperative nursing professional with 15 years of experience in healthcare. He currently serves as an Operating Room Educator at Boston Children’s Hospital, where he plays a key role in supporting staff development, enhancing clinical readiness, and promoting excellence in surgical care.
Matthew is an active member of the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN), staying engaged with current best practices and evidence-based standards that shape high-quality perioperative environments. His commitment to advancing nursing education is reflected in his recent completion of the Nursing Education graduate program at Chamberlain College. This specialized training has equipped him with advanced skills in curriculum design, program evaluation, and innovative teaching methodologies.
In his current role, Matthew applies this expertise to redesigning and elevating the Periop 101 program, ensuring that new nurses enter the specialty with a strong foundation and the confidence needed to grow into safe, effective perioperative practitioners.
