Learning Outcome: Through this presentation, the audience will learn how to improve overall medical service capabilities by optimizing operating room management processes; it will help hospital administrators balance surgical safety and operational efficiency, allocate operating room resources rationally, and achieve a win-win situation for patient safety and hospital economic benefits.
Overview/Abstract: With the continuous growth in demand for medical services, the number of surgeries has been increasing year by year, and the turnover efficiency of operating rooms has become a key bottleneck limiting hospitals' ability to improve medical service capacity. Against this background, the release of the "Expert Consensus on Cleaning and Disinfection Guidelines for Turnover Operating Rooms" (2025) provides a new theoretical basis for optimizing operating room management and improving turnover efficiency. This study aims to provide evidence-based medical support for the promotion and application of the "Expert Consensus on Cleaning and Disinfection Guidelines for Turnover Operating Rooms," increase operating room utilization, reduce unnecessary turnover time, and achieve a win-win outcome for both surgical patients and surgical efficiency.
Description of Current State: With the continuous growth in demand for medical services and the annual increase in the number of surgeries, the turnover efficiency of operating rooms has become a key bottleneck restricting hospitals from improving their medical service capabilities. How to increase the utilization of operating rooms and reduce unnecessary turnover time has become a critical issue.
Description of Desired/Achievable State: Finding evidence-based support for optimizing operating room management, and establishing standardized procedures, helps balance surgical safety with operational efficiency; it improves turnover efficiency in the operating room and increases the daily number of surgeries performed in the hospital.
Audience Engagement: Primarily lecture-based, combined with questions and interaction
