Learning Outcome: 80% of students attending the hands-on program will report their understanding of the perioperative roles and how to gown and glove themself in the post-activity evaluation.
Overview/Abstract: The student hands-on session will allow undergraduate students to learn about the perioperative roles and responsibilities. This session will also provide a hands-on experience of how to gown and glove using sterile technique.
Description of Current State: Perioperative nursing education is lacking in undergraduate nursing school programs.
Description of Desired/Achievable State: The students will be able to understand the roles of nurses in the perioperative setting.
Audience Engagement: Group activities, return demonstration, question and answer period.
